Pokemon Gods

Arceus: God of Creation. Mythology says that this powerful pokemon hatched from an egg, and shaped the universe with a thousand arms, creating Palkia, goddess of space, Dialga, god of time, Giratina, the devil, and Mew, Jesus. He also is said to have created the entire Sinoh region, along with the whole world. Not only did he do all this, but he also is able to change his typing whenever he wants to whatever he wants.

Dialga: God of Time. Legend says that this pokemon was created from time energy by Arceus, and then started to control the very flow of time as a result. As you might've guessed, this pokemon can travel through time, along with taking or sending people or other pokemon through time as well. He is also known as a steel/dragon type.

Palkia: Goddess of Space. The myths of Palkia state that Arceus took a star and formed Palkia from it, creating the one who would eventually rule over space. Palkia is often said to battle Dialga over territory often. Palkia is described as a water/dragon pokemon.

Giratina: God of Antimatter: Devil. Giratina is often descripted as the devil, and in mythology it is rumored that Giratina was suppose to be Palkia, but Arceus accidentally used dark matter to form him, creating Giratina. Giratina was then banished to the Distortion World after it angered Arceus. How it angered him is unknown. Giratina is a ghost/dragon type.

Mew: Jesus. From the very deepest legends it is spoken that this mysterious pokemon was the ancestor of all non-legendary pokemon. He was said to have been created when Arceus felt like there needed to be more pokemon in the world. Mew can also transform into any pokemon he choses, except Arceus, Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. He is a psychic type.

Azelf: Goddess of Willpower. Rumors say that this mysterious pokemon was flying through the air, and when humans and pokemon saw her they were granted the gift of willpower, the ability to chose whether or not to do something. She is a psychic type that resides at Lake Verity.

Mesprit: Goddess of Emotion. Some say Mesprit felt sorry for the humans and pokemon that were on this earth. They were without emotion. So using her powers, she granted hope, love, fear, envy, and many other emotions to the pokemon of this world. She is a psychic type like Azelf.

Uxie: Goddess of Knowledge. When Uxie was flying around, she spotted humans and pokemon alike. She saw that they were without the proper knowledge to survive in this world. Feeling sympathetic toward them, she offered them the gift of knowledge, so that they may learn more about this world.

Rayquaza: God of the Sky. They say that this pokemon was created from the clouds, or he fell down to earth on a rocketing meteor. Other rumors say this pokemon was the one who created meteors. He lives in the ozone layer, higher then any pokemon could hope to soar, and legends say he even created Kyogre and Groudon. He was the one responsible for calming and sending the two legendary gods to sleep.

Kyogre: God of the Sea. Team Aqua worship this pokemon as the creator of the sea. They say this legend raised its head and dove into the empty trenches, and with its presence the oceans were created from thin air. This is turn is said to have angered Groudon, and the two went into a furious battle. Rayquaza came and calmed them, sending them both to sleep.

Groudon: God of the Land. Team Magma worship this pokemon as their god and as creator of the land. In legends it is descripted as having rose forth from a volcano, raising its arms and forming land masses up from the endless oceans. This is said to have angered Kyogre, and the two went into an endless combat. Rayquaza came and calmed them, sending them to sleep.

Darkrai: God of Nightmares. One day, a legendary pokemon was said to have had a terrible nightmare, and forth from it spawned Darkrai. This dark pokemon is said to have sold its soul to Giratina, or have had been created by Giratina as a sort of plague.

Creselia: Goddess of Light. When Darkrai was created, it was said that this pokemon was created from the good dreams of a legendary pokemon to combat the dark powers of Darkrai. Others say that she was created by Dialga to rival Giratina, since the two are visible enemies.

Mewtwo: False God. Mewtwo was so powerful, people who knew of his existence began to call him the false god, or the Escaped God. Mewtwo is the only pokemon who's origin story is known and true. Mewtwo was created by humans as a clone of Mew. He escaped and was soon taken on by Team Rocket. He broke out from here, and disappeared. No one has seen Mewtwo since.

Zekrom: God of Lightning. Zekrom was said to have been created from Rayquaza to create the lightning storms in the ozone layer. It is said that Rayquaza was thrown off balance when creating him though, and threw the thundercloud containing Zekrom all the way to the Unova region. The exact origins of Zekrom are unknown, but this is the most solid rumor.

Reshiram: God of Fire. It is rumored that Groudon created this dragon. Other rumors say that it is the other way around, but there isn't solid enough evidence on the subject yet. Reshiram is said to have been created from the lava that flowed in Groudon's kingdom. He was then rejected by Groudon and escaped to the Unova region.

Kyurem: God of Ice. When Kyogre swam down deep into the sea, before he fell asleep, it is said with his last breath he froze the ocean. When the ocean melted, out forth from the frozen water shot Kyreum. Kyeyrum, having nowhere else to go, left after Reshiram and Zekrom to the Unova region

Yveltal: God of Death.

Xerneas: Goddess of Life.

Zygarde: God of Order.
